Day -2 Jaipur, Thursday Arrival 3:45 AM Departure 8.00 PM

The first stop of Palace on Wheels is Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. On your arrival at Jaipur, your tour begins from the Hawa Mahal Palace followed by the amazing Jantar Mantar. Explore the Astronomical Observatory at leisure. Jaipur is the home to erstwhile rulers and offers a great shopping experience as far as handicraft items are concerned. Also, Jaipur is well known all over the world for its famous hand block printing on textile. Proceed for a lunch at Amber Fort. Also after reaching Amber you can enjoy a ride up to the fort by sitting on the festively decorated elephants' back. Post lunch explore the Amber Fort and get to see the finest example of the fusion of Rajput and Mughal style of architecture.Return back to your palatial train by bus. Day -3 Swai Madhopur, Friday Arrival 5.30 AM Departure 10.20 AM

On your arrival to Ranthambore National Park, you can sense a life of wilderness. Located at the junction of Aravallies and Vindhyas, is an exclusive juxtaposition of historical and natural richness. The park is located on the arid denuded tract of eastern Rajasthan, hardly 14 Kms from Sawai Madhopur. You will get to explore the 1000 year old Ranthambore Fort located atop a high hill. You will be taken aback by the site of the remains of historical part cenotaphs, tombs, stepped well, summer palace etc, and how they merged harmoniously into the sprawling forest.

Ranthambhore is dynamic in the diversity and density of fauna it supports. Tiger at the top of the food chain ruins over the Ranthambore kingdom in a subtle way solitary by nature. Quite naturally tiger sighting is a matter of chance. Apart from tigers, you will come across a variety of mammals, spotted deer, sambhar, wild boar, Indian Gazel, Jungal cat, Panthers, Jackal, Hynas Rarely sloth bears,and almost 300 different kind of birds. These are considered as master pieces of Rajput architecture. The Padmini Palace in the fort had been the residence of beautiful queen Rani Padmini. The victory tower built by Maharana Kumbha in the memory of victory over combined armies of Malwa and Gujrat in 15th Century is the symbolic identity of Chittorgarh. Day 4- Udaipur, Saturday, Arrival 8.00 AM Departure 3.30 PM

Jaisalmer is the western most citadel of the desert and an ideal merger of ancient history and a developed trading centre. The city is well known for its old mansions and the Sonar Quila Fort, made of yellow sand stone will immediately grab your attention there. Here you will get to enjoy your shopping and gala lunch at Moomal Hotel. Step on the sweeping sand dunes and take a camel ride deep into the Thar Desert. Then comes the Umaid Bhawan Palace, which is the finest and largest palace in the world. The palace consists of 347 rooms that boast about its grandness and splendor. Bharatpur, Tuesday, Arrival 5.00 AM Departure 8.45 AMThis is a royal kingdom where the jats, rather than the Rajputs, ruled. Also, the Jat history of Bharatpur is not too old. Lohargarh, is the only fort in the state that posses a history that recounts it with pride. The Keoladeo Ghana National Park at Bharatpur is one of the finest bird sanctuaries. Day 7- Agra, Tuesday, Arrival 11.00 AM Departure 7.30 PM

Arrival at Delhi Day-1: Monday - Arrive in Delhi

Delhi - Safdarjung Station

Day-2: Tuesday (Departure at 1830 Hrs. from Delhi)

Post breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed for a sightseeing tour of Delhi. Visit the narrow bustling backstreets of the walled city of Old Delhi, earlier known as "Shahjahanabad". Visit the Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India. Take a stroll through the Mughal era bazaars (marketplace) of Chandni Chowk. Drive past the red sandstone walled historical Red Fort. Later, proceed for a tour in New Delhi. Drive past India Gate, the "Arc-de-Triomphe" of India that stands tall like an archway in the middle of a crossroad commemorating the Indian soldiers who laid their lives in the World War I & the Afghan Wars. Around 80,000 names of the soldiers have been inscribed on the walls of the India Gate. Drive past the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the official residence of the President of India that was earlier known as the Viceroy's House. Later visit the Qutub Minar built in the year 1206 by Qutub-ud-din Aibek. This world heritage site is the tallest (72m) brick minaret in the world, an important example of Indo-Islamic Architecture. Later, transfer to the Safdarjung Railway Station to board the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels. Arrival at Jaipur

Day-3: Wednesday - (Arrive at 0800 Hrs. and Departure at 1900 Hrs.)

Post breakfast, on-board and on arrival in Jaipur, you'll be welcome by caparisoned elephants and traditional Rajasthani folk music to the tunes of "Shehnai". Later, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Amber Fort, a marvelous example of the Rajputana architecture with its terraces and ramparts reflecting in the Maota Lake below. The fort is built in white marble and red sandstone and the interiors present a soothing and warm ambience. Enjoy an elephant ride while ascending the fort. Visit the Hawa Mahal or Palace of the Winds. It has a pyramid-shaped facade with five stories and 953 small windows decorated with tiny latticework. The air circulation through the windows represents the marvelous touch of Mughal designing, which keeps the palace cool. Later visit the City Palace Museum where you can see an imposing blend of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal Arts. The Museum showcases a collection of royal robes, pricey carpets, a huge collection of antique armory of old weapons and miniature paintings that portray battle scenes. Later visit the Jantar Mantar the largest stone astronomical observatory in the world. The observatory has fourteen statistical instruments for measuring time, predicting eclipses and to ascertain other astronomical events. Enjoy dinner on board.

Arrival at Bharatpur and Agra

Day-4:Thursday - Bharatpur (Arrive at 0630 Hrs. |Departure at 1000 Hrs) Agra (Arrive at 1100 Hrs. |Departure at 2200 Hrs).

Arrive at Bharatpur. Visit the Keoladeo Ghana National Park in Bharatpur that is one of the finest bird sanctuaries in India. Get a chance to witness over three hundred species of migratory birds that fly from parts as distant lands of Siberia and China. Later enjoy breakfast on board.Later, arrive at Agra the iconic city of the two UNESCO world heritage monuments the Taj Mahal & Agra Fort, situated on the banks of the River Yamuna. The city has a vibrant culture, rich architecture and art & religious philosophies that have enriched mankind & shaped human thoughts over centuries. Agra is famous for handicrafts products such as inlay work on marble, leather work, footwear, brass-wear, carpets, jewelry, zari & embroidery work.

Visit the Agra Fort located on the banks of the river Yamuna. This massive red-sandstone fort was built by Emperor Akbar in 1565. Visit the symbol of love, the Taj Mahal that is listed among the Seven Wonders of the World, built in the fond memory of Emperor Shah Jahan's beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal. The monument took almost 22 years to build and was completed in 1653. Around 20,000 workers from all over the country and Central Asia were recruited to build this symbol of love.

Arrival in Delhi

Day-5: Friday - Delhi (Arrive at 0600 Hrs. approx. Delhi Departure

Rest of the day is at leisure to explore Delhi on your own. Explore the bustling bazaars and shop for souvenirs. Lunch and Dinner (if time permits) at the hotel.
